This week hasn’t been the easiest week of fishing with a full moon and strong winds the fish were locked down at times . Capt Roy and I never give up though so we always end up putting a box of fish together and making the most of what we are handed by Mother Nature . We are still catching mostly red fish and black drum. We did catch a couple trout the last couple days .  The fish cooperated yesterday better than they have the days before so I’m anticipating a good week of fishing coming up so

I’m Captain Jason Shilling, owner and fishing guide of New Orleans Style Fishing Charters. I fish the bayous of Lafitte, Louisiana for red fish and speckle trout. Located just 40 mins south of New Orleans, Lafitte is home to some of the finest inshore fishing the New Orleans area has to offer.
