Summer Fishing Red Fish

by | Jun 7, 2017

Summer fishing red fish is action packed in New Orleans. We’re fishing in less than 3 feet of water in the back waters and marshes. We’re mostly fishing with shrimp under a popping cork , trolling the banks and hitting the islands . We have caught a few fish on artificial but the best bite has been on shrimp. The fish we are catching right now are 16″-23″ range with a few coming in above 27″.

We’ve been able to stay dry despite the weather mans predictions of rain. Here in South Louisiana the weather pattern is usually clouds building in the morning and rain in the afternoon. There is always the exception to the day where there’s  rain all day .

May was an amazing month of fishing with lots of memories for all my customers who came out fishing a Nawlins good time. I want to thank every one who came out fishing with New Orleans Style Fishing Charters. We look forward to having y’all back someday.
