Post Hurricane Barry Report

by | Jul 15, 2019

Well hurricane Barry has come and gone and we’re still here. The damages we minimum , so we are back up and running as normal. I want everyone to have a fun and safe trip on the water so I had to cancel a few charters due to the weather .

One of the most common questions I get after a storm is “How will the storm effect the fishing?” I have to say in the past years the fishing has always been good after a storm. Usually what happens is lots of water gets pushed into the area which in turn pushes fish and bait in.

The first couple of  days we will have to locate the concentrated areas of fish but there after it will be business as usual .

Before hurricane Barry decided to pay us a visit the fishing was good. Mostly fishing for red fish. With the majority of them coming in by way of shrimp under a popping cork or on bottom . Some were also caught on soft plastic swim bait and weedless gold spoons. I foresee the fishing to be just as good if not better now that he(Barry) is gone.

I want to thank everyone for coming out to fish with us since my last report. If you’re visiting New Orleans on vacation or for business purposes and would like to spend a day on the water …..
