Summer Fishing Moving Right Along

by | Apr 8, 2024

Summer fishing is moving right along as we come to the end of July. It seems like just yesterday it was spring ,this year is flying by.

We’ve had to work for our fish the last couple of days but as fishing goes that’s par for the course. Fishing never stays the same, its always an adventure .

I chased speckle trout a couple days ago with lots of action but few keepers . If we didn’t catch 150 trout to keep 25 we didn’t catch one. Lots and Lots of 11 3/4″ fish just under slot size. It won’t be much longer the trout will be ripe for the pickings .

For the most part we primarily fish for red fish, and lately we’ve been fishing for them with shrimp under a cork or swimming soft plastics while trolling the banks covering ground. Also at times fishing some areas with shrimp on the bottom as the water warms up the fish tend to hang in a little deeper water.

If you’re looking to get the kids out on the water before school starts give me a call and let get them reeling in some fish. I want to thank everyone who have come out to fish with us lately. Its been our pleasure and we look forward to fishing with yall again…..

I’m booking trips daily so feel free to give me a call with any questions or to schedule your charter today.
