Its been Fantastic fishing in February so far. It was a bit breezy the last couple days but we’ve been able to tuck away from it and fill the boxes up with some nice red fish. I’ve found some nice water and the red have been receptive to swim bait as well as their all time favorite shrimp under a popping cork. Slow trolling the bank armed with either bait has proven to be the effective method.
As easy as that sound ,its hasn’t been a one stop shop . Some days we find them quick ,some days we cover a lot of ground before finding the school. Once we locate the hungry fish we can work them until they either quit biting or our limit is met. Either way the fishing has been good with lots of action and plenty of memories made for all. For the most part the reds we have been catching have been solid fish in the 20″-25″ range .
I want to thank everyone for coming out fishing with us this week . It been my pleasure to have yall fishing with me .I look forward to fishing with everyone again some day . February is shaping up to be a busy month , with 3-4 boats on hand I have plenty of opening for everyone to get on the water and enjoy some great fishing…..
